Tattoo on my left foot done April 4th, 2012 by the awesome Kyle Wood at Tony’s Tried & True tattoo in Port Orchard, Washington. I wanted a pug tattoo done for my puppy Norm ( he doesn’t smoke) and Kyle was excited about the idea and wanted to have fun with it.

This is my typographic fleuron tattoo! The radish glyph was used in many traditionally printed books. As a graphic designer it remains my favorite glyph to use in publishing. It was done by Mark at Oak City Tattoo in Raleigh NC. I can’t believe his incredible detail.
I never realized how much I loved my home state until I had to leave for a year. There are so many things I miss about North Carolina right now & I can’t wait to be back this summer. The blazing heat of the southern sun, the great food, & the even greater people. I’ve never been much of a lover of the South, until I left. No matter where I go, I’ll always love North Carolina.
